Spending more than 10 hours a day in her home office, our client wanted to refresh her space. She had 3 clear needs, a professional back drop for her meetings, a cozy space where she could take a break and easy access to coffee. Bored with “beige walls” she wanted a new bold vibe to her space. We played with the contrast of the abundant natural light with a dark wall colour to add to the drama of the space. During one of our discussions we noticed that one part of her room had direct sunlight- where she kept a small plant, using this context we converted that area into a cozy nook with a oversized sofa, rug and small table! Our client’s love for coffee was such a big part of her personality that we also created a coffee corner! This would avoid unnecessary trips to the kitchen during her work hours and help her get through late night calls and meetings. We incorporated her love for travel by displaying all the portraits she had collected through the years in her office.
